DUBAI – Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) is pulling out all the stops this week for a grand finale like no other.

Wrapping up its most exciting and value-packed edition on 31 August, Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) 2025 is calling on residents and visitors not to miss spectacular final weekend celebrations across its jam-packed programme of thousands of offers and experiences.

Following 66 non-stop days of blockbuster summer entertainment, the clock is ticking for the last opportunity to enjoy must-visit concerts, family attractions, fitness events, mega raffles, and massive Back to School savings before the curtain falls on the city’s most vibrant summer season. From 29 to 31 August, Dubai is to become a hub of shopping deals, superstar performances, unbeatable dining, and citywide celebrations.

Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment is ensuring maximum value and endless fun with pocket-friendly options for families, students, and visitors. From shopping thrills to unforgettable concerts, here is a guide to the final weekend of DSS 2025.

Shopping & prizes

No DSS finale is complete without the biggest sale of the season. From 29 to 31 August, the DSS End of Season Sale offers further reductions and savings of up to 90 per cent across leading global and regional brands. Club Apparel members can enjoy 5X rewards at names including Calvin Klein, Levi’s, Steve Madden, and Rituals. Amber Members spending Dh500 earn 5X Points and entry into the DSS Amber Millionaire Raffle, where ten winners will each take home 1 million Amber Points.

Back to School promotions continue citywide with unbeatable deals for families and students. Dubai’s biggest stages are lighting up for the DSS finale. On 28 August, The Little Mermaid brings its undersea adventure to Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Grammy-winning artist Macy Gray performs at Coca-Cola Arena on 29 August. Theatre takes centre stage as Red Carpet debuts at Dubai Opera on 29 and 30 August, while The Mansour Show runs from 29 to 31 August at Jumeirah Beach Hotel, with shows in English and Arabic.

Music lovers can enjoy a packed schedule. Ramy Sabry Live performs at Sheikh Rashid Hall, Dubai World Trade Centre on 30 August. A historic collaboration, Legacy of the Khans, brings Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan together with his son Shazman Ali Khan for the first time on 30 August at Coca-Cola Arena. Pakistani rap duo Young Stunners perform at The Agenda, Dubai Media City the same evening. On 31 August, Dubai Opera hosts Hearts in Harmony, featuring ghazal maestro Ustad Ghulam Ali alongside his son Aamir and grandson Nazir.

Comedy is also a highlight of the finale. Amit Tandon performs at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium on 29 August. On 30 August, Gaurav Gupta entertains audiences with back-to-back sets at Dubai College Auditorium, and Egyptian comedian Mina Nader performs at Zabeel Theatre. On 31 August, Arabic duo Saleh El Nawawy and Jantee Shaaban take to the stage at Zabeel Theatre.

Dining & family fun

Foodies can indulge in the DSS 10 Dirham Dish, continuing until 31 August across more than 190 restaurants and over 600 participating outlets in malls and dining hotspots, including The Noodle House, Shake Shack, San Wan Noodles, Big Smoke Burger, and more. No bookings are required – simply ask for the Dh10 dish at participating venues.

For families, mall activations add extra sparkle to the season’s end. Nakheel Mall hosts the Smurf-Tastic Fair with interactive zones and meet-and-greets until 31 August.

Mercato Mall’s Slide Into Summer Surprises runs alongside free performances including the International Comedy Circus. Football fans can enjoy The Messi Experience at Dubai Festival City Mall until 31 August.

Modesh World, one of DSS’s most popular attractions, concludes on 28 August at Dubai World Trade Centre, offering more than 118 games and interactive zones. Modesh Splash Park at Dubai Festival City Mall and the Modesh Summer Pass at participating venues continue until 31 August. Families can also enjoy a pizza-making masterclass at Osteria Mario, themed menus, and exclusive Modesh merchandise.

Fitness & staycations

The final weekend also keeps the city active. The Silicon Central Back to School Run on 30 August offers free entry and distances from 800m to 3km, designed to inspire students ahead of the new term. The Summer Mall Run 2025 at Dubai Festival City Mall follows on 31 August with distances of 2.5km, 5km, and 10km, awarding medals and prizes for top performers.

Staycation offers across world-class hotels remain available until 31 August, making luxury hospitality accessible with family-friendly rates. Residents and visitors can also benefit from the DSS Entertainer, priced at Dh195, offering more than 7,500 deals across dining, attractions, water parks, beauty, and fitness for three months, even if purchased on the final day.
